Agave multifilifera
Y04-48 — Zone 8 to 10— Mexico, Sonora
Multi-fabulous! A gem of an agave rarely seen in this country! If you hike for a couple of hours up a steep rocky mountain in the dangerous drug-lord controlled countryside in the state of Sonora, Mexico, you will find that they are quite plentiful! At maturity, this plant will have a short trunk (unusual for agaves) and carry hundreds of leaves with copious amounts of wispy white threads called filifers. The plant equally resembles both Agave geminiflora and Agave schidigera.
