Aloe variegata

Partridge aloe! A fat-bodied aloe that is boldly marked in white. This species is well represented in a succulent collection but you never see anyone trying it outdoors, until a friend showed us his plants in north San Antonio, Texas. There it thrived in the shade of a Texas persimmon and produced viable seed.
