Canna glauca

Water Canna! If you have a moist, nearly boggy site or need some water garden color then this canna is perfect for you. Canna glauca is a tough native to eastern Mexico. The relatively compact, narrowly upright, glaucous blue foliage is beautiful in its own right but is stunning when topped with the moderately sized, brilliant yellow flower spikes. This plant has vigor and will spread abundantly wherever it is happy so either plant it where you don’t mind it creating a large mass or establish an in ground barrier for it. Perfect for a large tub submerged in the water garden where the pot create a natural barrier.
