Welcome to Yucca Do Nursery

Ceratozamia hildae

Y05-43 — Zone 8a to 10Eastern Mexico

Bow-tie palm! Distinctive butterfly-like green leaflets that resemble a bow tie distinguish this species from all other cycads, or for that matter, any other plant! The strong stems that hold these leaves strictly upright and reach heights of 6' or more. For us, this plant has been much faster growing than any other Ceratozamia. Enthusiasts in Texas report that the foliage was burned off in the severe freeze of 1990 but that it returned anew by mid-summer! We advise that the trunk be protected in cold weather.

I have decided to hold these plants back until warmer weather, when they have flushed a new set of leaves. I will likely put them back online for sale around April.
