Cordia parvifolia
Y05-31 — Zone 8b to 10— Southwestern USA
Little Leaf Cordia!
This desert shrub makes an excellent companion plant for woody lilies and other xeric succulents. The upright, open shrub has a casual, freeform appearance, but the plant's greatest asset is not the form of the shrub, but the flowers. White, nickel sized, crepe-textured, bell-shaped flowers occur periodically, (sometimes abundantly) throughout the growing season. The small leaves are a green-gray color with a somewhat coarse texture but make the perfect backdrop to display the clusters of white flowers.
