Y06-27 — Zone 8b to 10— Santa Catarina, Brazil
Wild brevifolia! Dyckia brevifolia is an easy to cultivate plant that forms a compact rosette of bristly, rich-green succulent leaves. It performs best in well-drained soil, and likes some afternoon shade during the summer. In late spring, 2' to 3' tall flower spikes are produced carrying brilliant, yellow flowers. The plants being offered are seedlings derived from seed sent to us by a Brazilian Dyckia enthusiast. He collected the seed from his plants that originated from Ribeirao do Cocho, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
