This moderate sized shrub with silver gray foliage has an open relaxed habit that is friendly and no fuss, taking on no airs. The grape bubble gum scented, violet-purple flowers contrast perfectly with the silver gray leaves and also encourage carefree and tranquil thoughts, which in this day and age is an asset indeed.

I got three 3 gallon plants still blooming, and yes, they do smell of bubblegum---not quite like a mountain laurel but very sweet. Almost lurid! Which I like. I planted them on 11-10-11 as a break to block a view of my parking court. I will see how they do in this very hot dry spot.

- It did not live as long as I would have liked. But, it is absolutely the best of the Cenizos. You can not beat the lovely scent and the purple on gray colors. It is spectacular. (Posted on 11/23/10)
