Trichocereus strigosus
Y07-96 — Zone 9 to 10— Northwestern Argentina
This species produces long, slender stems that are heavily armed with whitish to yellowish to reddish colored spines. The stems grow upright in youth but tend to bend sideways with time. The plant branches abundantly from the base creating masses or colonies of spiny stems that to the eye look almost soft and fuzzy but the hand tells it differently. Flowers are white and occur at night but tend to last long enough into the morning that they can be enjoyed by the early gardener.
