This small Yucca usually forms no visible trunk but can produce a short trunk with age. It is found geographically between Yucca rupicola (to its East) and Yucca thompsoniana (to its West) and is often considered a natural hybrid between these two species. The leaves are an acid green color and have a yellow serrated margin. The flower spikes are relatively tall for the size of the rosettes, reaching to 5' tall and branching at the upper third of the spikes. Flowers are white to greenish white in color.
