What is your guarantee?

Plants should arrive in good condition. If they don't, please notify us within 14 days and we will replace the plants if possible, or refund the list price. When corresponding please provide full name, address, and order number. That way we can process your claim in an efficient and timely manner. We will replace plants free of charge but request that you reimburse us for shipping.

When will my credit card be charged?

All orders placed online using credit cards as payment will be charged when the order is placed. If you desire a shipping date that is several weeks or months beyond the receipt of the order and you do not want your credit card charged until closer to the time of desired shipment it is recommended that you select "Check / Money Order/ Call in Credit Card" as the method of payment at time of order check out. You can also mail in you payment but we require payment prior to order shipment.

If you place an order online and pay by credit card and wish to add items to an existing order you must call the office to provide full credit card information. Our shopping cart does not allow us to charge your credit card for an amount greater than the original invoice and we cannot see your credit card number for security reasons.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Order sent to addresses within the state of Texas will be charged 6.75% sales tax.

Phytosanitary Certificates

*The states above marked with an asterisk require Phytosanitary certificates. These are no longer provided free of charge by the Texas Dept. of Agriculture; therefore, we are passing the charge on to customers residing in those states. The charge for the Phytosanitary certificate is $5.00 per order. Also note that shipping times could be as long as 3 - 4 weeks for orders shipped to these states, although less in most cases.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Orders are typically shipped within two to three weeks of receipt. States requiring Phytosanitary certificates (AZ, CA, HI, OR, and WA) may take an additional 1-2 weeks. If you would like to arrange for specific ship times, you may note that on your order form or contact us at 979-542-8811.

When can plants be shipped?

Yucca Do Nursery ships plants most of the year, weather permitting. We generally suspend the shipping of plants during the Month of August and from mid December until mid February, as is our normal practice because of holidays, hot/cold weather and travel.

Does Yucca Do Nursery ship to foreign countries?

Yucca Do Nursery does not ship plants outside of the USA and its territories. Unfortunately, if you can not provide a shipping address within the USA we can not accept your plant order. However, we do ship our DooHickey plant tags and stakes outside of the USA. Please e-mail or fax your orders requesting a price quote for the additional shipping charges for destinations outside of the USA.

When can sale plants be shipped?

For web-only sales, orders must be shipped no later than 30 days after the end of sale date.

Can I visit the nursery to shop? Or pick up a preset order?

Yucca Do Nursery is not planning to have specific retail open dates this year, or in the near future. Though the Giddings location is operational, it is not organized for large groups to walk around and shop. We have too many items that are not for sale (propagation material and personal collections of plants) mixed with plants that are for sale. Open retail is logistically impossible.

However, we do allow personal shopping opportunities where individuals or small groups of up to 6 people can come and shop. Folks can also arrange to pick-up their orders. If you wish to come and shop, or arrange for a pick-up order, you should first send us an email info@yuccado.com stating when you want to visit. We will email you to let you know if that date will be available. You can also try to call (979-542-8811) and arrange for a visit, but we are often difficult to reach by phone. Mondays and Wednesdays are usually the best days to find someone in the office. Fridays and Saturdays are the days that are generally set up for visitation. Once a date and time have been determined, directions to the nursery will be sent by email.

If you wish to come and shop, we encourage you to investigate our website www.yuccado.com prior to the visit to familiarize yourself with the plants we offer, and the prices. Since the nursery does not have regular onsite retail, items in the nursery are not priced individually.

Why can't you ship to Arizona?

Recently Arizona has changed its requirements for all plant shipments from Texas to Arizona. The state of Arizona now requires that all plant shipments (excluding bare root plants) from Texas must be inspected and quarantined at an Arizona Department of Agriculture’s (AZDA’s) Approved Holding Area.  From our understanding, plants with soil must be quarantined and inspected for at least a 3 day period and if they are deemed “cleared” can be released to the recipient. The only exception are bare-rooted plants. Bare-rooted plants can potentially be shipped directly to an individual and even then may still be subject to inspection.

Essentially plant shipments with soil can no longer be shipped directly to a recipient’s (customer’s) address, as we have done in the past. Because of these new requirements and the regulatory burden they impose, Yucca Do Nursery, Inc. will no longer allow customers to specify shipping to Arizona from within our online shopping cart. However, if you are an Arizona resident and are interested in some of our offerings you can submit a plant wish, list via email to info@yuccado.com and we investigate the possibility of establishing an order. We have chosen this method for Arizona residents to place an order because some plants will take being bare-rooted better than others and by this method we can evaluate the selections and recommend if it is advisable to ship any possible plant bare-root. If an order is possible then credit card information can be called into the office or check/ money-order can be mailed by snail mail.

We know this is an inconvenience for Arizona customers but because of the Arizona Agricultural regulations we feel this is the best way to work within the new regulatory process without having to process credit cards and then issue refunds if some plants are unsuitable for bare-root shipment.

If you have questions you are welcome to email info@yuccado.com. If you are a resident of Arizona and would not mind navigating the process of quarantine you are welcome to email us and we can investigate the process more thoroughly but there will likely be additional costs and fees associated with this process that will make the process cost prohibitive.
