Dasylirion acrotriche

Green sparkler! This beautiful plant was photographed west of Cuidad Victoria on the rain shadow side of the Sierra Madre Oriental and this is the location from which these seedlings were selected. An unusual species--the tight clump of acid-green leaves terminate into a wisp of fibers which gives the plant a feeling of being electrically charged. Highly ornamental and fast growing like all sotols.
