Lilium sargentiae

Sargent's Lily! The trumpet group of lilies is best suited to the heat of the lower South. In China in 2003 we saw this species growing at low elevations on rocky ledges hanging over deep river cuts with tall mountains looming overhead. Here it has adapted easily to the sandy soils of southeastern Texas under tall pines. We are offering small plants from bulbils, this is a fast growing lily!
