Yucca gloriosa 'Lone Star'

Lone Star Yucca! Yucca 'Lone Star' is a green reversion of the variegated Yucca gloriosa 'Tiny Star'. This fast growing plant produces numerous erect green leaves that combined form a very tight symmetrical head. Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery says this yucca in. is unquestionably the best green yucca in our collection in. That says a lot. Yucca gloriosa in general is a very vigorous and easy to grow species in the humid south and this plant is proving to be equally vigorous and easy.

Notes and observations about this plant

Does well in the Coachella Valley, CA
'Lone Star' also does well in the desert climate of the Coachella Valley area of California (Palm Springs), although it may be susceptible to attack by spider mites. Offshoots also grow up through the leaves of the parent plant. A wonderful landscape find! (Posted on 9/15/2012 by Bruce Medbery).
